Tua Tagovailoa Returns to Limited 11-on-11 Work at Falcons Camp
Atlanta Falcons quarterback Tua Tagovailoa returned to 11-on-11 team drills on Monday after dealing with back tightness, taking a limited number of snaps in the first padded practice.
What happened
Tua Tagovailoa participated in two series and three pass attempts during 11-on-11 periods on Aug. 3, completing all three throws (including two to Drake London). He had been limited or held out early in camp due to back tightness. Michael Penix Jr. remains restricted to 7-on-7 work as he continues recovering from ACL surgery.
Fantasy impact
The return is a positive step for Tagovailoa in the Falcons' unsettled quarterback competition. He remains a low-end QB2 or Superflex option if he wins the starting job, but managers should wait for clearer signals on the depth chart before elevating him in drafts. Penix's continued limitations keep the situation fluid.
