Falcons Confirm Jalon Walker Torn ACL, Season Over

What happened

Atlanta Falcons outside linebacker Jalon Walker went down during an 11-on-11 period near the end of Tuesday's practice and was carted off the field. Teammates took a knee around him as practice was cut short. On Wednesday, ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported that tests confirmed a torn ACL. The team officially announced Walker will miss the entire 2026 season.

Walker, the No. 15 overall pick in the 2025 draft out of Georgia, recorded 5.5 sacks as a rookie and was expected to be a cornerstone of Atlanta's pass rush.

Fantasy impact

Walker holds value primarily in IDP leagues. His season-ending injury removes a high-upside edge from the Falcons' defensive front, which already faces questions with fellow young rusher James Pearce dealing with off-field issues. No direct redraft fantasy impact for skill-position players, but it slightly weakens Atlanta's defense for streaming purposes.
