Browns Rookie WR KC Concepcion Suffers Shoulder Scare in Practice but Expected to Be OK

First-round pick KC Concepcion left Monday's Browns practice holding his right shoulder after a play. Early indications are positive that he avoided serious injury and should be fine.

Cleveland Browns first-round wide receiver KC Concepcion provided a scare during Monday's training camp practice when he walked off the field holding his right shoulder with a trainer. Video from beat writers showed the Texas A&M product heading to the sideline after landing awkwardly on the shoulder.

Subsequent reports indicate Concepcion is expected to be OK. The injury does not appear serious, and the Browns practice again Tuesday, offering a quick checkpoint on his status.

Concepcion, selected 24th overall in the 2026 NFL Draft, has drawn positive reviews early in camp for his versatility and playmaking ability. Under new offensive coordinator/play-caller Todd Monken, the rookie has seen work in a variety of ways—deep shots, screens, and designed touches—positioning him as a potential focal point in the passing game alongside Jerry Jeudy and fellow rookie Denzel Boston.

Fantasy managers who have stashed or drafted Concepcion as a high-upside rookie should monitor Tuesday's practice participation closely. A clean bill of health keeps his breakout potential intact in what could be a reinvented Browns offense, though quarterback stability remains a question mark. Avoid overreacting to the initial scare given the optimistic early prognosis.
